Join the Wampum Chapter and Knights of Columbus 604 to support the wonderful children at McGuire Memorial and St. Anthony School Programs.
We are excited to announce that the date for the 2018 Hike 4 Kidz on the North Country Trail to benefit McGuire Memorial and St. Anthony School Programs is Sunday October 14, 2018. This is the fourth year that the Wampum Chapter has been involved with this benefit hike (which was previously known as the Health Hike) and we’re working to make this one the best one yet!
Hikers will decide how many miles they want to hike on the NCT that day – 4, 6.5, or 10, then sign up through the registration page here https://northcountrytrail.org/volunteers/local-contacts/wampum-chapter/, gather their pledge money, and come to St. Teresa of Calcutta Maronite Catholic Mission (3557 Constitution Blvd. in Darlington) on October 14 to do the walk. Shuttles to the starting point at the state line will run from 8:00 to 10:00 AM. Refreshments will be available at the church at the end of the hike.
New for this year is no minimum pledge amount to hike, the opportunity to win prizes based on your donation amount, and medals for the first hundred hikers to sign up. We are also in need of sponsors for the event, so if you are able please consider making a sponsor contribution.
Links to information for hikers and sponsors as well as to register can be found here on the Wampum Chapter NCTA website https://northcountrytrail.org/volunteers/local-contacts/wampum-chapter/
All hikers will need to fill out and collect pledges to turn in the day of the event. Medals will be given on a first come first serve basis, and prizes will be given away during the event.
