Monthly Meeting

More than just a "Happy Hour", come and meet and greet your fellow club members. Enjoy good food and good company.  Visit their website to view menu. http://www.sorrentosrestaurant.com/index.htm

Every month we are going to try an feature a member and their work or a structured presentation on some aspect of photography or the editing process.

Come join us.

This month we will have a guest speaker.  Christina Armstrong from Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.  This organization's mission is providing the gift of remembrance photography for parents suffering the loss of a baby with a free gift of professional portraiture.

When I first heard of this, I was a bit dubious about them, but when I saw a presentation and subsequent photo session work, I became an immediate fan of their organization.  This should be a very interesting evening.  Not to be missed.

Wasn't that a great program learning about Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, volunteering their portrait skills in such an emotional time for the families. Thank you Rick for your fine efforts in arranging programs of this quality.

Rick, are you still having people bring some of their latest work to show?

Would love to hear this presentation, but unfortunately have a class on Weds notes. I think this service being offered is quite valuable and my interest is certainly touched after visiting their web-site.

I have great respect for NILMDTS. This is something you never want to happen, but can and does.

Sure would like to be able to attend. I teach at UC on Wednesday evenings - but not for much longer as the semester ends next week!

I'd love to come for this interesting topic, but choir practice in Lincoln Heights precludes... Have fun.

I am interested in tips for portrait photography. I have fun taking photos of my gkids. They will pose with their dress ups. I would like to improve and gets ideas for posing. My gkids are 8 yrs and 6 yrs. from the photos that I take, I plan to take my favorite shots and create a Shutterfly book.
