This is an open event with the intention of bringing those in the community together that may be interested in building a team to solve one of the great problems of our generation.     The theme for this months meetup is "Improving Productivity in Oilfield Rentals" We have two guest speakers who are building software products that help manage oilfield rentals. Michael Maltsev, founder of "RigER" and Development Manager with "Site Rentals Software" RigER is a software solution that helps rental companies better manage their assets. (Riger.ca) RigER is a Calgary based company founded in 2012 and has clients in Canada and the US. Site Rentals Software was founded in Portland Oregon by OnDemandAnalysis, who have developed several solutions focused on asset management and analysis. This software solution helps oil and gas operators to optimize their utilization of equipment rentals. The format for the evening will include a panel discussion on the oilfield rental business and the challenges of developing software solutions within the space. Following that discuss an open idea pitch and Q&A will follow. All are welcome and this is a free event. ******************************************************************************** Speaker Profiles Michael Maltsev Michael has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Buffalo, USA and over 15 years experience in Business Analysis and Software Development. Michael has strong background in Accounting and Finance and Consulting as well. As a CFO of Oilfield Rental Company, he came up to idea of new software product. RigER an Oilfield Rental Operation Management Software was founded 2012. Michael’s exceptional leadership, practical experience and entrepreneurial ambition are the driving force behind the RigER team. RigER featured in Calgary Herald as Startup of the Week in May 2014. RigER was nominated to The Doghouse Pitch Competition at Global Petroleum Show 2015, Calgary, AB. Michael’s commitment to drive productive growth has been reflected in the success of RigER since its inception. Jordan Ostapiuk Jordan has over 18 years of experience in project delivery, which began in the service side of Telecommunications in 1997. Being passionate about customers and their experience, he brought a different lens to each consulting engagement - which ultimately led Jordan to work with OnDemandAnalysis in 2011. Recognizing the value of hosted solutions, Jordan partnered with ODA to implement a series of rapid solutions for a large Oil and Gas organization based in Calgary - a solution based on the same foundation as Site Rentals. Jordan continues to advocate and consult on cloud-based solutions, with a drive to deliver value in successive short sprints. Through this approach, he has achieved success in bridging the needs of the business with IT solutions, and leveraging this disruptive approach to getting work done.

Adam Martinson, President and Co-Founder and Burke Vindevoghel Co-Founder and Vice President of Enterra are our featured guests. Come and hear the story of Enterra Technologies a Calgary based startup that is changing the way environmental assessments are being done. The format for the evening is a presentation / open forum focused on the impact of emerging digital tools such as open data and software as a service solutions in the oil and gas business. Adam Martinson is the President & Founder of Enterra Technologies Inc, as well as the Principal consultant at AJM Environmental Inc. Enterra is a tech startup that is developing an online application that significantly reduces the time and cost for preliminary environmental assessments. AJM Environmental is a consulting company that completes pre-development environmental assessments and provides clients with regulatory guidance. Adam has a Masters of Environmental Science and an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Innovation both from the University of Calgary. He is also a proud alum of the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he completed his undergraduate degree. Burke Vindevoghel is Co-Founder and Vice President of Enterra Technologies Inc., a startup company providing environmental data aggregation solutions for the energy industry. In his "day job", Burke is a lawyer practicing corporate/commercial, energy and environmental law in the areas of energy contracts, carbon credit legislation, environmental liabilities and environmental prosecutions. Prior to law, Burke worked as a small business consultant, helping small businesses take their products to market.
