Needs a location

This bike ride is for intermediate riders only with a comfort level of biking on a busy roadway, climbing a large hill and then cycling fast down a large hill. The organizer has the right to refuse anyone that they feel will not be able to keep up with the group on this ride.

By popular request this ride is being posted again. We will bike around the entire Skaha Lake in Penticton to OK Falls and back. First we will ride along the north side of the lake to Eastside Road where we will ride for approximately 5 km. Then we will take the long hill up McLaren where it plateaus and then it is a long fast ride down the hill to Tickleberries in OK Falls. We will stop here for a rest and for an ice cream or for those who wish, or bring your own lunch. After our rest we will bike along the KVR trail all the way back to Penticton and loop back to our cars. This is a total of just under 40 KM. The roadway has some bike lanes, and sometimes they just disappear. You must be comfortable riding on this type of roadway in single file.

Directions: Drive into Penticton, follow Hwy 97 along the Channel Parkway. Once you reach the set of lights where the lake is straight ahead of you, turn left and park in the 2nd parking lot (just past Sudbury Beach). We will meet at 9:30 am and be ready to ride shortly thereafter.
