The Oklahoma pinball community lost an integral member recently with the passing of Jimmy Hefner. He, as the owner of Metro Pinball and Video, kept many of our machines working and playing beautifully. His contributions will be greatly missed and very difficult to replace.
In honor of him and in support of his family during this very difficult time, we will be conducting a charity event. All proceeds will go to the Hefner family.
The tournament will be a best game qualifying format with the best entry on each of the 5 tournament machines counting towards your total score using the INDISC scoring system. Players may purchase as many attempts as they wish during the qualifying period. The qualifying period will bee from noon to 4pm with finals to follow. The top 8-12 players will qualify for the A final with the remainder of players will be eligible for the B final. The A final will be a group knockout format, while the B final will be a 3 -strike knockout format using Brackelope. In addition to the tournament, we will be conducting silent auctions with arcade/pinball-related items up for grabs. If anyone has any items they would be willing to donate, please contact me.
Other activities as well as specifics of entry fees, etc will be detailed in the near future. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone there!
