Build a Coffee Can Forge

We will be building a small forge using a coffee can that will allow you to work on blacksmithing and casting non-ferrous metal. The forge works around 2200 degrees. This forge is heated with a propane torch and has great potential for work that many people have expressed interest in.

After gathering materials for my single coffee can forge prototype. The kit is going to be 15 dollars to take home your very own coffee can forge. This will include everything but the torch and the wood to mount your forge to.
The Kit will include the following items. 1 coffee can2 mounting brackets2 mounting bolts with nuts1 pkg. of dry insulating ingredients1 plastic spoon1 plastic bag to mix insulation materials1 4" Black Iron pipe Nipple 3/4" diameter
Instructions will be provided and you can source materials yourself if you dont want to buy the kit.
I will have kits available for folks that have RSVPed to the meetup and a couple of spares. If you would like a kit please comment so that we have enough prepared.

This was a great experience! Now it's time to do something with it. It would be cool to have folks post YouTube/Vimeo link(s) of their forge in action. Thanks all for your participation!

I have 20 3lb Coffee Cans that have been waiting for this chance to shine. I will have them and if we have more than 20 people show up we can use more coffee cans.
