Jamie and Susan are thrilled to be singing together as the duo, “Je Tu” at Egan's in Ballard. They'll be accompanied by a fabulous jazz trio with Darrin Clendenin on piano, Dan O’Brien on bass and Robert Rushing on drums so come join us!
Jamie has been singing ever since she can remember and grew up listening to Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Noel Coward and all the popular Broadway musicals. Originally from the Bay Area she was also influenced by the eclectic mix of music of the 60's that included R&B, Rock, Soul, Folk and East Bay Grease.
Susan was born singing in Astoria, Queens and has a natural swing feel to everything she sings. She owes that to Louie, Ella, Frank, Bobby, Chet, Basie, Anita, Peggy and a whole slew of others who visit her when she practices. She spends most her time studying the Great American Songbook, as well as some contemporary jazz composers.
Make a reservation by sending an email to [masked] for 7 pm on August 14th. There is a $10 cover for the band and you can order food and beverages from their menu. We look forward to seeing you there!
