What we're about

On Stage in New Mexico is about enjoying the wonderful spectrum of New Mexico’s performing arts with a congenial group of people: a lively combination of culture and fellowship.

Our events include (but are not limited to) classical music performances, opera, live theatre, dance, poetry and lectures, museums, art shows, documentary films and jazz. We combine cultural events with socializing whenever we can, such as dinner at the Frontier for an event at Popejoy or a tailgate party at the Santa Fe opera.

We’re always open to expanding our performing arts portfolio. If you’re interested in adding an event to our schedule, feel free to ask an organizer to post it listing you as the host.

Rules of the Group:

On Stage in New Mexico is about enjoying the wonderful spectrum of New Mexico’s performing arts with a congenial group of people: a lively combination of culture and fellowship.

1. Our group is about fellowship. Please be courteous, relax and, above all, have fun!

2. We’re not a public events calendar. We only post events in which a member has volunteered to serve as the host, who attends the event and greets you before the beginning of the performance. We ask that you attend one event during your first three months of membership. Please know we audit attendance on a monthly basis and you will be removed from from the group if you do not participate.

3. To be accepted as a member, we ask that you post a recognizable picture of yourself, preferably a head shot. This enables the host to pick you out of a crowd when you attend an event.

4. Once you have signed up for an event, please update your RSVP if your plans change and you cannot attend – to spare the host the frustration of waiting for someone who isn’t coming. If it’s a paid-admission event, please buy your ticket before you RSVP. Conversely, please do not just show up - it's common courtesy to let the event organizer know you will be attending.

5. If you fail to attend an event without changing your RSVP, that’s a no-show. We will dismiss you from the group after two no-shows.

6. If you wish to promote your favorite artist or group, feel free to do so by posting an event and hosting it. Fundraising benefit performances are okay within the context of a hosted event.

7. On Stage in New Mexico will NOT promote your personal business or your endeavor.

8. It is your responsibility to plan your route to the event before you leave home. Please do not call the event organizer one-half hour before the event because he/she is trying to get to the site as well.
