What we’re about

Hi there,
Join us for Tai Chi at beautiful One Tree Hill park, and experience tai chi's many benefits: reducing stress, building strength, improving balance, improving breathing and improving general well-being. We start with the18-step qigong, then we move to the Yang Style Simplified 10 form, followed by the 24 form. For those interested, we then go through the 42 competition form.
Beginners through to experts are all welcome. We start at 10am every Saturday morning. We normally start with some warm-ups and finish at around 11:30am and enjoying a cup of the warm tea thereafter.
For anyone interested in practicing at home, we post up helpful videos and material in the message board and files section of the website.
Please have a look at these links, there is some good stuff in there:

What a great start to the weekend!
Directions to Tai Chi:
Coming from the Greenlane entrance to Cornwall Park drive a long Pohutakawa drive and turn left at the first roundabout.
When you get to the 2nd roundabout (with the flagpole in the middle) go right around the roundabout and head down the long straight drive nearly to the end where the BBQ area is and you should see us on the grass on your left.
The Google map on the side of this page has the correct location.
There is no charge for this meetup as the more that can come the merrier. We have several volunteer teachers who come each Saturday. Our volunteer teachers include Mark, Shaun and Alice. They are very patient and will happily review the tai chi moves with you.
We meet every Saturday morning, the members who turn up weekly might not enrol in the meetup each week. We normally have about 15-20 people. We'll be there even in wind, cold, and light rain.
We hope to see you there!
Alice
