Let's meet to to talk about content
For anyone that's been told "you need a blog" , this is a fascinating topic of discussion. First I'd recommend that you spend 20 minutes or more reading this page, and even watch the video examples. It's a great investment of your time... http://www.digitalmarketer.com/blog-post-ideas/ - Then lets plan a Meetup at McCools on Sunnyside the first week in November. Anyone interested? If not, you should read it anyway ;)

    What we're about

This group was intended to be geared towards business owners trying to increase their visibility, and beginning internet marketers, and I never did much with it.

As the search industry has grown, people are often intimidated at large events, and are hesitant to ask the simple questions.

My goal here is to help educate members on the basic fundamentals of internet marketing, and steer you in the right direction if you ask.

    Who Should Come to Meetings?

Business owners and key employees, and those just starting out in internet marketing, or "search engine optimization". There are some "need to know basics" and this is where you can learn them.

    How Much Will Meetings Cost?

I want to keep these free, but please spend money on food and drinks while you're there, to help offset my room costs. If you don't feel like having anything, then buy me a beer! ;)

    Where Will We Meet?

My criteria for the location is to be able to easily accommodate 15+ people, and have food and beverages (including alcohol) available for purchase. Right now, I've confirmed an east side location at 122nd & Division called Pizza Baron that has a semi private area with a big screen for presentations.

Another location without a screen is on SE 122nd & Sunnyside, called McCools. There's a small front room good for a meetup, but no screen or fully private area.

    Who Am I?

I'm Scott Hendison, the founder of Search Commander, Inc (http://www.searchcommander.com/). and SEO Automatic (http://www.seoautomatic.com/) tools, a founding board member of SEMpdx (http://www.sempdx.org/), and I speak regularly at several local and national marketing conferences.

I'm a 10+ year member of the East Portland Chamber of Commerce, and have over a dozen years of experience in the search industry, after running a computer and software store in the Gateway area of Portland.
