DESCRIPTION: Satsang is a rare opportunity to sit together in an intimate space of deep-rooted Presence-Awareness, radical truth-telling, and unconditional Love that involves a profound inquiry into whatever appears to be blocking or veiling your inherent mental, emotional, and somatic freedom. True Satsang begins from the exact opposite perspective of traditional psychotherapy, which incorrectly assumes there’s something fundamentally wrong with you that you need to fix, change, or transform. We begin, therefore, from the living realization that, in reality, you as boundless Awareness are already perfect, whole, and complete. When the belief in twoness is no more, life is revealed to be what it always was: pure radiation from a dimensionless source of infinite Intelligence and boundless Love. Then the body becomes what it was meant to be: pure, vibrant, flowing aliveness -- undivided, undefended sensitivity, innocence, love, affection, and intimacy. This feeling-understanding transfigures the body-mind into a faithful servant of the Self/Heart.
Michael has four academic degrees, including a master’s degree in Comparative Religion from Harvard, and lived for two years in a monastery. Although he began his journeyless journey with Roshi Philip Kapleau and Toni Packer, his three greatest influences are Nisargadatta, Mooji, and Rupert Spira. Based on his exposure to their teachings, Michael’s spiritual path culminated with an Awakening to True Nature during a five-year period of purification and alchemical transmutation where his insight into non-dual Awareness became embodied, grounded, and stabilized. As he works with people one-on-one and in groups, he flows not only between the paths of wisdom and devotion, but also between the radical non-dual approach of "sudden Awakening" and the many yogic/therapeutic paths that emphasize evolution.
