What we’re about

Open Screen is an informal meet-up giving filmmakers at any stage of their career the opportunity to screen your short films and network with other filmmakers.
Open Screen runs first Wednesday of the month both at Film Oxford, 54, Catherine St. Oxford. OX4 3AH and on Zoom.
Join in to screen your short films (including work in progress), have the opportunity to chat with other local filmmakers or even just show off your latest bit of film kit. Scriptwriters are also welcome to pitch their idea to the group and put a call out for crew members. You will also hear about how to get support with funding applications through Film Oxford Productions.
If you have videos you’d like to show, or a concept/script you’d like to pitch, get in touch beforehand by sending an email to:
Short films need to be under ten minutes or you can show an excerpt from a longer film. A member of the crew will need to be present to tell us about the making of the film and to answer any questions.
What to bring
This event is FREE - please remember to email beforehand if you have a film you'd like to screen at the event.
Here's a blog about a previous Open Screen evening to give you a better idea of what it's all about...

Show your film and get crucial feedback!
If you have taken a Film Oxford course or working independently, Open Screen is a great way to maintain contact and to meet other people who also want to make films. It’s open to all filmmakers of any level from novice to professional wanting to watch or show and discuss your work. It can be drama, documentary, finished or unfinished.
Watch films and network
Come along and meet other like-minded people and expand your love of filmmaking, get feedback on work in progress or find new ideas for your future film projects. You can just turn up but please let us know in advance if you want to show films.
