Public Knowledge Workshop Friday Hack Night

The Public Knowledge Workshop - an Israeli non-profit - has created an open source municipal budget transparency platform.  They have organized a hackathon which will include participants in Tel Aviv and San Francisco.

The hackathon will be non-competitive and dinner will be served, so it should be a low pressure way to meet other hackers.  Hackathon participants can choose to work on the municipal budget transparency platform or another project focused on the world Jewish community.

I plan to attend the San Francisco event and work on the municipal platform. I hope a few of you can join me.

Additional information is at: http://www.hasadna.org.il/en/friday-night-hack/

A list of open issues on the municipal transparency platform can be found at: https://github.com/hasadna/omuni-budget/issues?milestone=11&state=open and the project itself is at https://github.com/hasadna/omuni-budget.  Finally, you can find documentation at http://open-budget.readthedocs.org/en/latest/index.html.
