First of all, a very big thanks to all of you for registering your interest. I was continuously amazed at how many people joined through the meetup community and word of mouth. We have people from very different backgrounds : some with no technological knowledge but high curiosity, some with high tech skills, some that just want to learn programming, other with very specific needs, and some that just want to meet like-minded people. It's a big mess, and that's perfect. That's how it is meant to be.
OTS is not a closed box, but a platform. If organisers are meant to use and oil the gears of, anyone else is welcomed to use the platform to give tech workshops of any kind. I'll tell you a bit more of the concept when we finally meet, or you can already check the OTS website: http://opentechschool.org . There are a lot of possible directions and follow-ups for OTS, some that I have already in mind, some I won't take part in, but all are welcome.
To settle a bit the mess, we'll have our first meet-up in September. Apart from talking face to face, the aim is to understand the needs of each, and to see what is possible and interesting to do. We will create three non-exclusive ever-evolving groups: the organisers, the coaches and the learners. Then we'll try to already organise a workshop in October or November at the latest.
I'm looking forward to seeing you all in a few days (next Wednesday, 11 September) for the meet-up.

PS: On another note, I will do OTS presentations in September/October, so expect more people to join. If you're interested in talking around about OTS, feel free to do so and ask me for presentation material if needed.
