A savagely caustic comedy. A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the evening progresses and the rum flows, it quickly deteriorates into a finger-pointing, fur-flying, hilarious brawl, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.
The play was a success in its original language, French, and has been equally acclaimed in its other English-translated productions in both London and New York.
F-Bomb Warning -
I saw the and liked the movie (Jodie Foster, John C. Reilly, Kate Winslet and Christoph Waltz). Has kind of a Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? vibe.
Available through Goldstar for $13.50.
