Let's meet for a leisurely hike at the Top of the World, Alta Laguna Park on Sunday afternoon. There are free parking and good rest aria with picnic tables and kid's playground there. We'll meet in the parking lot, start the hike at the top and walk into the canyons. The hike what we are going to take is light to moderate and about 6 miles.
We'll be back in time to catch the sunset from up there. We'll recapture those calories we just burnt with mini-picnic watching beautiful sunset. There is no grill in this place, so bring something ready to eat ( and drink :) to make our sunset time memorable :))) And, please take some chair in case there will be not enough place to sit around the table.

About this hike: This hike starts out at Top of the World/Alta Laguna Park, high above the hills in Laguna Beach. The hike goes along West Ridge trail for about 1.5 miles of descending slope to the Water tanks. Then we take Cholla Trail down to the flat Wood Canyon trail for about 1 mile. Then we go onto the shady and beautiful single track Wood Creek and Coyote trails - about 1.5 mile. Finally we take Mathis trail back up to the original trail head which runs about 1.5 miles with an elevation gain of around 700 ft - this is not easy part of our hike, but this is our challenge!!:)
