What we're about

We are an All-Abilities Running Club with over 100 members. The oldest established running club in Orange County, on the go since 1961. Don’t let our name fool you, we are also road and trail runners who enjoy Good Runs, Good Times, and Good Food! We offer supervised Track Workouts every Tuesday night currently at Estancia High School. Our coach, Charlie Appell, voted “Coach of the Year” by the Orange County Register, supervises individualized workouts in preparation for events ranging from 5K’s to Marathons.

Workout with Coach Charlie at Estancia Highschool track @ 6pm

Estancia High School

Hi. welcome to the Orange County Track Club workouts, We are moving back to Tuesday Nights at Estancia High School in Costa Mesa (it’s located next to Fairview Park). Park in the lot by the tennis courts, go through the side gate located behind the tennis courts to make your way to the Estancia High School Stadium. OCTC members and friends start arriving about 6:00 PM. Coach Charlie recommends a one-mile warm-up and six 100 yard strides before the workout which begins after a short club meeting at 6:30. The workouts consist of various short distances with a recovery distance as outlined by Charlie. The workout distance is three miles followed by a one mile cool down.
