How to EXIT Trades

  • This location is shown only to members

While many new traders like to obsess about which indicators and signals they should use for entering a trade, almost as important, if not more important, is determining your exit strategy.

Scott Hodson, the Meetup's founder and organizer, with over 18 years of experience investing and trading markets, will discuss an overview of various systematic exit strategies with historical backtested results to compare. We will also discuss strategies that are more discretionary. We will discuss pros and cons of each kind of exit strategy and things to consider when choosing an exit strategy.

For those that are experienced traders, please come prepared to share some of the methods and ways you use to exit a trade as well. PowerPoint slides or paper handouts to show other members would be really helpful as well.

Good meeting, thanks Scott! I would recommend that people use the discussion board as most trading questions would take at least a book to answer (e.g. what's the best trading strategy, fundamental investing, trading platform, journaling, etc.).
