    THE EXPERT
Indi is a researcher who coaches, writes, and teaches about inclusive product strategy. Her work is rooted in the problem space where the focus is on people, not users. Indi pioneered opportunity maps, mental model diagrams, and thinking styles. Her way of approaching the problem allows teams truly pay attention to people, without letting cognitive bias and assumptions creep in. Indi has written two books, Practical Empathy and Mental Models. Her next book, Assumptions Aside, will cover thinking styles instead of demographic personas. She builds knowledge and community via a series of live online advanced courses about the importance of pushing the boundaries of your perspective. She was one of the founders of Adaptive Path, the pioneering UX agency. • UX Portfolio Tips and Reviews

    Online event

Hey fellow UXers, it has been a while. I hope everyone is staying safe, healthy and sane. Thinking that things might not go back to normal soon, we did not want to wait any longer to start things back up again. Online only for now of course. This is our debut online event. Stay tuned for more events coming soon.

This Meetup will be dedicated to Portfolio Tips and Reviews. I will start with a few tips that we can circle back to and discuss in more detail, but I wanted to dedicate most of the time to members sharing their portfolios. Sometimes real portfolio presentations can take 30-60min so this will be more like speed presenting 5-10min w/ Q&A feedback. If there are less presenters, we can give people more time. Sign up now to get a spot - see RSVP question and/or PM me on Meetup.

The agenda is informal and will be tailored to who shows up. Other items we can discuss could be UX in general, open job positions, job searching and freelancing tips, etc.
