My first meetup and it was warm and cozy! Everyone was so nice and the vegan food was delicious! Thank you, Terra, for your hospitality! Thank you to everyone else for their advice and encouragement on staying vegan!

What a terrific afternoon, sharing in wonderful conversation, amazing food, and being in your lovely home, Terra and Mike. So look forward to our next time.

I had fun and ate so well today! THANK YOU! Terra: Yes, that black square plate is mine and the blue spoon. I'll trade you for the pilsners! Leaving my things must be subconsciously on purpose. Jan 18th would be better for me.

    November 23, 2013

  • Terra M.

Thanks for coming everyone! Let's do this again in January. I can do the 11th or the 18th. Also - I have a rogue plate. @Kristen - is it your's? Could it not stand to part with your second blue spoon? If so - they are both in the Lost and Found bowl.

Kristen, I have one small cranberry I can bring, if others can bring as well....

    November 23, 2013

  • Kristen

Hi all - I'm having a cranberry emergency! The 4 bags that I bought this morning are a little off and I don't have time to go get more. SORRY! I'll bring the broccoli and a loaf of bread. I'll also bring some serving stuff.

    November 22, 2013

    • Annemarie

Just sent an email with the address. Will your partner be coming too?

Yes, but we (Shaqe) both RSVPed independently. We'll bring a folding chair and utensils etc.

So sorry I won't be able to make it tomorrow. Have a great Thanksgiving. Hope to see you all again another time.

    November 22, 2013

We will bring drop biscuits, potatoes, gravy, and corn!

    November 22, 2013

  • Joanna S

Terra- remind me of your house number please....I'm sure I'll see cars...

    November 22, 2013

  • Joanna S

Hi Terra- I have small napkins, will bring, small paper plates which can recycle, I have plastic spoons, that's all in cutlery. Will bring. Can bring up to 4 folding chairs if needed.

    November 22, 2013

  • Joanna S

    Terra,
Do you need paper plates, napkins? I have some very small one, some medium, plastic cups.. or are we supposed to bring our own plates/silver? Do you need folding chairs?

    November 22, 2013

    • Terra M.

Hi! Thanks... I think I might need folding chairs, but it is also unclear to me how many people are coming... Or is correct that only Annemarie is bringing a plus one? I really need napkins. I have washable/reusable plastic wear. I try to be eco-friendly and not use disposables too much... But plastic cups would be great. Paper plates are good - I can compost them. Do you have any plastic cutlery?

      November 22, 2013

    • Annemarie

      I can bring napkins

      1 · November 22, 2013

      November 22, 2013

Hi! I'm just trying to get a head count. Will your children be joining us? Thanks!

      November 22, 2013

  • Terra M.

Hi... Can everyone please update the RSVP number or post if you are brining anyone with you? I will need to set up seating, and we should plan/cook for the number of people coming. Thanks! Otherwise it looks like 10 people are coming, but there is 20. I met a fellow vegan two weeks ago and invited them. I'm pretty sure they are attending.

Hello. -- At this time it should be just me.. But I'm not sure if I will be making it in time. I have a hike in the morning and hope to be done with it in time to meet everyone at the dinner. If I can make it I will make a simple dessert (Not sure what?)

      November 22, 2013

    Hi Terra,
I will be coming on my own, looking forward to being with everyone.

    November 21, 2013

  • Terra M.

I'm so excited! Please let me know if you are bringing guests... I need to set up chairs and also we should have a head count for food. I think I'll make 2 lbs of pasta.... But I might make 3 if we have more.

    November 18, 2013

    • Kristen

so sorry - stephanie: maybe you should try cuisines or recipes from regions that have a lot of food that happens to be vegan, like southern Italian or Mediterranean. Also, Terra - it will just be me attending, no guests.

Hello. -- I have something in the morning... I still would like to come, but might be about an hour late.. Would that be okay? If not - I hope to meet up with you another time.. :(

    November 19, 2013

    • Terra M.

      Of course that is okay.

      November 19, 2013

What's terrific about this group is that we all support each other in stepping fully into veganism, looking not only at what to eat and how to be a vegan in the practical sense, but looking at the deeper reasons for being vegan. So, please consider coming on Saturday, Stephanie and everyone who is new to the group, even for a short time.

    November 19, 2013

  • Kristen

Hi - I'll make my : 1. cranberry orange compote (or is it sauce or relish?). 2. a broccoli dish.
This time I won't leave my serving spoon at Terra's! Thanks for your hospitality again!

    November 17, 2013

    • Terra M.

Have no fear - your spoon is always safe here.

      1 · November 18, 2013

I'll be making traditional (bread) "dressing".

    November 16, 2013

    Hi everyone,
I am happy to be able to be here. Thank you Terra for hosting. Let me contemplate what I'll make keeping in mind what others are bringing.

Can I bring the Gardein Holiday Roast? Can I bring my two kids (8 yo son and 6 yo daughter)? This will be my very first meetup, thanks!

    November 7, 2013

    • Terra M.

Hi, I just saw this. You are welcome to bring them... but they may be a bit bored. The meet ups have been only adults. I don't have kids, or really much to entertain them with other than a television.

It would be excellent if people could post what they are brining, so that way we have our bases covered.... I plan to make my rendition of "Mac n' Cheeze".
