I have heard such wonderful things about The Strand; anyone who goes there tends to rave about their personal favorites – the Fish and Chips, the Olive Oil cake, the Beet and Citrus salad – people keep going back!
From their website: The Strand was conceived as a small neighborhood restaurant with the purpose of becoming an everyday tradition in the larger fabric of Orlando. We feature the “New Old,” contemporary interpretations of classic culinary fare. Our New American cuisine emphasizes seasonal dishes made from scratch, with daily Chef’s specials inspired by fresh ingredients. Compliment your meal with one of our carefully selected craft beers and wines. Our restaurant highlights the historic, mid-century sensibilities of Orlando’s Mill’s 50 District. With a knowledgeable and friendly staff it is our sincere desire to offer you a memorable dining experience.
They feature a rotating inventory of craft beers and specialty wines. As the dishes change regularly to showcase fresh seasonal ingredients, they try to feature a selection of beer and wine that will pair well with the food.
You can preview the menu here: http://strandorlando.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/Dinner2.pdf - note that due to seasonality and availability of the freshest ingredients, this is subject to change.
As always, we will send out a confirmation request 5-7 days before the event - if you do not confirm by the deadline (24hours before the event), your RSVP will be changed to a no. Again, we are trying to be fair to the group members and the restaurant management by trying to cut down on the last-minute cancellations and/or no-shows. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. See you there!
