D&D Adventurer's League - Tuesdays at Maitland (DM Nick)
THIS TABLE IS TIER 1 (LEVELS 1-4). APL is 1st. When the shadows grow long in Waterdeep and the fireplace in the taproom of the Yawning Portal dims to a deep crimson glow, adventurers from across the Forgotten Realms, and even from other worlds, spin tales and spread rumors of dark dungeons and lost treasures. Some of the yarns overheard by Durnan, the barkeep of the Yawning Portal, are inspired by places and events in far-flung lands from across the D&D multiverse, and these tales have been collected into a single volume. Within this tome are seven of the most compelling dungeons from the 40+ year history of Dungeons & Dragons. Some are classics that have hosted an untold number of adventurers, while others are some of the most popular adventures ever printed. The seeds of these stories now rest in your hands. D&D’s most storied dungeons are now part of your modern repertoire of adventures. Enjoy, and remember to keep a few spare character sheets handy. IMPORTANT NOTE: D&D Adventurers League rules permit a maximum of 7 players per table. When you sign up, please add a comment indicating which table you normally play on, or let us know that you are new to our event. New attendees will get a spot at a table where there is an empty seat. If you do not sign up on the event page and the table fills up, it will be the DM's discretion if you are permitted to play as a walk-in. Thank you! These D&D Encounters campaigns are designed for players who are new to the game of Dungeons & Dragons or new to 5th Edition (D&D 5e). The campaigns are set in the long-established D&D setting of the Forgotten Realms in the land of Faerûn. The games will run each Monday evening from 6pm - 9pm at the store. Come and create an original character to play or choose a pre-generated character to explore this exciting and rich game world, filled with fearsome enemies, brave heroes, and wondrous magic. You need never have played 5e (or any other edition of D&D for that matter). Experienced players are welcomed as well, but if you've played through either adventure, try not to spoil the story for new players! We welcome any and all who are interested in playing or learning the game. Come out and join the fun! FAQ Q: Do I need any experience to play D&D Encounters? A: No. D&D Encounters is ideal for new or experienced players. It introduces a story and adventure that lets new players jump in and allows experienced players to fully engage their imaginations to help the game come alive. Q: Do I have to play every week? A: No. D&D Encounters is designed so that the table continues the game each week wherever it left off the week before. You can show up every week and see the whole adventure or just come when you can make it and participate in the sessions when you are present. Q: Do I have to buy any materials or books to play D&D Encounters? A: No. It will help to bring a pencil, but everything you need to play D&D Encounters will be available at the table. If you want to create a first-level character before you come, you can download free character sheets and basic D&D 5e Rules from Wizards of the Coast. You can also download the free Adventurer's League Player's Guide for the current season. Q: Can I bring my spouse or friend to the game? A: Yes. D&D is always more fun with friends. Be sure to invite them or bring them along. Q: Are you looking for more DMs for your location? A: Yes! If you've been coming, tell the DM at your table you want to find out about starting another table at the store. If you haven't been coming, we'd love to meet you. Please come out and play on Mondays to get a feel for our game, our players, and our location. If you want to be a DM, make sure you tell us of your interest and give us your contact information. We'll always reach out to those people who have shown an interest in running a table before anyone else! Q: How do I get more information? A: You can leave a question here in this thread, or you can drop me an email at [masked]. I look forward to seeing anyone who is interested and available in learning D&D 5e or playing these D&D Encounters Adventures.

What we're about

Public Group

"The word 'geek' today does not mean what it used to mean. A geek isn't the skinny kid with a pocket protector and acne. There can be computer geeks, video game geeks, car geeks, military geeks, and sports geeks. Being a geek just means that you're passionate about something." - Olivia Munn

Do you consider yourself a nerd or geek? Would you rather watch a sci-fi movie than a football game? Does a day at the museum beat a day shopping? Is your TV permanently tuned to the History or Discovery channel? Then we're the group for you!

This group is for all the nerds and geeks in the Orlando area to get off that video game and make some RL (real life) friends! We have activities such as movie nights, video game nights, board game nights, group dinners, museum trips, convention trips, and much more.

Additionally, some events may require the purchase of tickets or other admission cost which is up to the individual attending member to buy. Some event locations might be held at restaurants which doesn't require any money to attend but purchasing food is encouraged naturally.

Membership to the group itself is free and will stay that way.
