What robotics & maker related topics do you enjoy, and what would you like to make or build?

I usually can fix just about anything. I also love studying new technology inventions. As a technical editor and editorial manager of a robotics journal, my hands are most often just on the keyboard. :)

Would you like to lead discussions? What topics would you like to discuss?

If possible, yes; human-robot interaction.

Please suggest a few robotics & maker topics that you'd like to learn about (e.g., soldering, Arduinos, mobile robots, making crafts, etc.)

My children and I are interested in robots of all types (Big Hero 6 is currently their favorite movie). I'd love to see very casual introductory type meetups—so casual in fact, where the robots or equipment and software is just there, and we all can choose to look or not. This is the type of learning environment where I have found independent thinkers will find their own best interests... and I enjoy independent thinking too.

What other interests & hobbies do you have?

I like to read and watch all sorts of things that fall under IEEE-related topics and materials. I also copy-edit new technology papers for roboticists and other such fun things!

Hi, my name is Jeanie. I'm a technical-topics editor and the editorial manager of a robotics journal, so I really like the new direction of the group!
