Casselberry is holding the Art & Music at the Park event, which they do every month. It's a combination of a food truck bazaar, an art show, and a concert.
WHAT WILL WE DO?
We will eat, drink, check out art, listen to music, and mingle.
WHO IS PERFORMING?
This month the event has a blues theme. The Joel DaSilva band will be opening, with Shamekia Copeland headlining. If you're not familiar with Copeland, here's an article on her that includes song samples: https://www.npr.org/2018/07/26/631546575/first-listen-shemekia-copeland-america-s-child
YOU SAID FOOD TRUCKS, RIGHT?
Yup. There will be 12 different food trucks onsite. Whatever your culinary preferences, there will probably be something you like, so come hungry.
WHAT ABOUT THE ART?
The event's website says "as part of the event, more than 20 local businesses and artisan booths are selling jewelry, photography, paintings, and an assortment of other unique gifts and services will be on site."
WHAT SHOULD I BRING?
Cash, just in case you want to buy something from a vendor who might not take cards. If you're going to want to sit, bringing a blanket or folding chair might be a good idea. It's a park so there won't likely be seating.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
OKAY, BUT WHAT ABOUT PARKING?
According to the website, "general parking is at Home Depot and across the street at Target and Fifth Third Bank." I'm guessing there will be no parking available at the park itself.
HOW WILL I FIND YOU?
I haven't figured that part out yet. I will arrive early, find a good landmark, and tell everyone where to meet. You can always call or text me at[masked].
The Meetup app doesn't always work well so you should call or text me rather than expecting me to see a message on here.
