My Changed View on Ron Paul

Barbara,

I have been involved with and joined several Tea Party groups since 2007. The purpose of the TP is not to favor any one candidate over another, however we pride ourselves on vetting each one of them in order to educate ourselves and others, so that they can make their own individual decisions. As long as we all stay strong and choose the most Conserative of the group, I think that we will be fine. Remember that our ultimate goal is to Beat Obama.

Dick,

I think that the best thing that we could do as Conseratives is to be civil with each other. I could say some pretty rough things about several of the candidates, especially Ron Paul, but I won't. My enemy is Obama, no one else and I will vote for the one that wins the Republican primary, no matter who it is.

If you are really are going to vote for Paul only and he looses the primary, what then, ?

Dick,

I, too, will vote for our nominee period! I just do not want to hold my nose and vote
like I did for Rick Scott......that was very hard to do! I would much rather like the
man/woman that I do vote for. I have researched all of the candidates and really like
a couple. However, I need to focus on who can take out Obugger and at this point, it
is looking like Mitt Romney (he just got an endorsement from NH mayor this am).

Thanks for the info!

Norman,

Too many Republicans forget that the economic crash came during the Bush administration, in 2008 a full month before the election. Obama did not cause the crash. The crash was because of the policies of the Bush administration.

The Obama administration did not change one thing from the Bush administration but doubled his bad policies.

If all you want to do is defeat Obama then you may be in for a rude awakening. Imagine if a Republican had passed a nationalized health care bill (Mitt Romney). Would there be any opposition? Probably not. Will a Newt Gingrich or a Mitt Romney pass cap and trade legislation? Probably because both believe humans cause global warming. Who will be the opposition?

The Tea Party is about turning our country around and returning to the constitution and the rule of law, freedom and liberty. Why would we want to nominate a candidate where our only choice is economic decline from Democrats or economic decline from Republicans? There is a lot more at stake in this election than just defeating Barak Obama and if you don't see it you will be part of the problem when it hits us next time.

This was by far the worst thing Paul has said in he election and will probably seal his defeat. His argument is totally false.

Switzerland - ZURICH (Reuters)"Switzerland serves Islamic-motivated terrorism as a place for retreat, preparation, logistics and propaganda," the Federal Police Office said. "Islamists, who are being prosecuted in the EU or who have served a prison sentence, seem to be choosing Switzerland as an alternative place to stay," the report said. Religious and ethnic tension has been on the rise in Switzerland, particularly focusing on Muslims, with rising immigration and lack of integration, analysts said.

Sweden - Islamic terrorism remains the greatest threat to Sweden, according to Anders Danielsson, head of Sweden's Security Service (Säpo).

And Paul seems to totally forget:

Theo Van Gogh being shot and stabbed in Amsterdam in 2004.

Paul from his own mouth has admitted his delusion when it comes to defense of our country and that is sad.

I continue to hope/pray that there will be a true conservative leader emerge from the hinterlands to stave off the Obama threat(s). Ron Paul has been consistent for decades. His major premise of SMALL government is what I especially support. Some of his other views and the fact that he has been part of the establishment I would love to see changed, is an issue with me. Still, he does vote consistently.

None of the other leaders (Gingrich and Romney) are true conservatives. Romney is another rich kid playing at ruling the world, Newt is brilliant but not much of a leader. Last time I met him and shook his hand it was limp/sweaty and he averted his eyes... not a great sign, but then again maybe not a true indication of anything.

Politics has gotten so smarmy that any real patriot/leader avoids it or can't afford to run as you have to have the 'machine' to back you. The biased press is worthless except for driving anyone with any conservative principles out of the potential pool. We have gotten in such a terrible mess it will take decades to dig our way out of it and I fear it may not be possible.

Still, we have to continue the fight for Freedom and Constitutional Government as defined by the Founding Fathers. It may not be perfect but is SO much more preferable to the current socialist leaning government we are stuck with and all of the idiot bureaucracies that have been created to suppress Freedom, Ingenuity and Creativity that has defined America for so long.

Last election we conservatives had an idiot put forth; I mean McCain was just lousy and an entrenched bureaucratic politician. No chance he would have done much; been more of a Republican Jimmy Carter; but still preferable to Obama's socialist agenda.

Hopefully a true Freedom Leader will emerge!

Merry Christmas!

After watcing this video, you turn me and other Conseratives away from Ron Paul even more. Understand this, your enemy is Obama, not the Republican Party, to which RP is supposed to be a member of. I see and hear the same thing from ALL Ron Paul supporters and I just want to tell you that you are hurting yourselfs and your candidate's campaign by this type of rethortic. I distrust you and him even more now. If my chosen candidate produced garbage like this, I would choose another candidate.
