What we're about

Orlando Zen Center is an affiliate of the Kwan Um School of Zen, an international organization of more than a hundred centers and groups founded by Zen Master Seung Sahn, the first Korean Zen Master to live and teach in the west. The School’s purpose is to make the practice of Zen as accessible as possible. It is our wish to help human beings find their true direction and to save all beings from suffering.

Monthly Long Sit - A One Day Meditation Retreat

Orlando Zen Center

It’s a Mini-Retreat. It’s a Vegetarian Lunch. It’s a great opportunity to practice sitting and walking meditation with others. It’s air conditioned and we walk in green grass under blue sunny skies. It’s a great way to spend every 3rd Saturday, every month. The retreat (including Lunch) has a suggested donation of $20 and is open to all - no one is turned away for lack of ability to pay. It is not required that you stay for the entire retreat. The rule is “come as you can and leave as you must.” See the schedule and get more information at https://orlandozen.com/long-sit .
