The Orlando PHP Meetup Group Monthly Meetup

If you haven't already, please respond to the attendance poll. It's anonymous, so don't worry about offending anyone. I wanna know what's working and what's not, otherwise I take wild, crazy action like this to keep the group fresh.

Since attendance has been low so far this year, instead of the standard dojo placeholder, we're going to TALK to one another. If you're interested in learning anything this year, ANYTHING AT ALL, please come and tell me about it. If I can't find someone to present the subject, I'll present it myself.

Want to learn about Agile? Sure, we can do that. Burning topics in JavaScript development? Let's do it. How do I get started with PHP framework X...? We'll work it out. You name it, we'll try it.

So bring your ideas, your wish lists, books you've read or wanted to read, and anything else that you might want presented at YOUR Orlando PHP meetings, and I'll do my best to make that happen. Thanks,

David @

Nice change of venue from previous meetings.
This survey-session was very helpful to get ideas for upcoming meeting topics! I think this ought to happen on a regular interval to keep focus on what the group considers to be important in the near term.
    Thank you David!

Great meeting. Hard to hear over the din of background noise, but much preferable over downtown or crappy parking.

Would like to hear about people's experiences scaling custom PHP applications (outside of the open source stacks). Sorry, something came up and I cant make it tonight. :(

I would really love to see more complex examples of testing in real life situations with tools like PHPUnit/SimpleTest, Behat, Codeception, etc. That extra oomph that can take us all closer to 100% coverage on our testable pieces.

Love to see a comparison of PHP and other alternatives like Node.js

I vote for topics like Agile and using PHP with JavaScript. It's always good to hear the latest in those.
