Introduction of using Elasticsearch in your Solution

This is a introduction of using Elasticsearch in your solution, what does Elasticsearch bring to your solution and how you can architecture Elasticsearch for your project. The talk will go through Elastic Stack, Logstash, Beats and Kibana and benefits and some architectural design choices.

Taswar Bhatti is a System Architect for SafeNet Gemalto. He holds a BSc in Mathematics and Computing Science from University of Alberta, and is well versed in architectural design, security and building scalable internet web applications; not to mention he is also a Microsoft MVP. Taswar is also fluent in many spoken languages: Cantonese, English, Turkish, and Urdu/Hindi.

Artem will talk about what’s new in Elastic Stack 6.x, including the latest release of 6.3 with features like Rollups, SQL support for Elasticsearch, and opening of X-Pack.

Artem Pogossian is a Solutions Architect at Elastic based out of Toronto, Ontario. He has worked in IT for the length of his career in development and delivery roles . Artem had recently joined Elastic due to his fascination with OpenSource Elastic stack through exposure in multiple opportunities within his client work. His passion lies in creating solutions that showcase the scale of data and sub-second processing speed of the Elastic products. Before joining Elastic, he worked as a Principal Consultant at Capco, Development Lead at Globe and Mail, and Senior Java Developer at Cisco. Artem is based out of Toronto, Ontario, and had graduated from the University of Waterloo.
