Good morning everyone,

I wanted to thank everyone who came out for the meeting this past Wednesday.  As always, there was a great dynamic group participated with great discussion and networking taking place throughout the meeting.

I would like to extend a special thanks to Nassib for his excellent presentation on the Information Architecture. For those who couldn't participate the meeting, I would like to post topics with hyperlinks that we discussed at below:

1) 10 Useful Findings About How People View Websites: Eyetracking and research have studied how people look at website.

2) Pattern Tap: A huge resource for expamples of specific design and user experience patterns on the web.  The example sould provide an education in what is working well on the web and why.

3) More useful sites that designers can get inspired from as follows:

  • Behance: An online platform to showcase & discover creative work. Creative professionals update their work in one place to broadcast it widely and efficiently. (
  • Dribble: Dribbble is a community of designers answering that question each day. Web designers, graphic designers, illustrators, icon artists, typographers, logo designers, and other creative types share small screenshots that show their work, process, and current projects. (

4) Nivo slider: a free jQuery Plugin creats a Slideshow/Slider.  If you are familiar with WordPress, there is a plugin for it and it is very easy to use.  But this can be integrated into any website.

5) Presentation: Information Architecture by Nassib Elkadri

The presentation is posted in a PDF file at the link below:

6) Online usability testing software, Optimal Workshop (

That's all for now.  Thanks again for an excellent Meetup and I look forward to the next one.

Cheers and have a nice weekend.
