In 2008, she set the vision and created the CIOB IT-enabled Project Oversight Program and directed its operation until 2013 including implementing the highly successful Independent Review Program and leading government-wide community enablement and engagement activities to advance IT-enabled project and portfolio planning, management, and governance practices across the GC. She was brought back to the role in April 2017 to bolster the Program and align it to our rapidly evolving digital environment. In between, Gina was Chief Operating Officer of the Institute on Governance and prior to that a senior executive at Public Works and Government Services Canada. Gina has a long, successful history of leading complex business transformations in both the public and private sectors, and establishing investment management and project/portfolio management, governance and oversight programs at the project, departmental and government-wide levels for which she is internationally recognized. Coupled with extensive experience in strategic planning, organizational development, management oversight, and service management, she has a history of demonstrated successes in building, managing, and revitalizing organizations within complex, large-scale, results-oriented environments with a focus on client/citizen outcomes. Jennifer Ditchburn is the editor-in-chief of Policy Options, the award-winning online magazine of the Institute for Research on Public Policy (IRPP). A longtime journalist, she spent more than two decades covering national and parliamentary affairs for The Canadian Press and for CBC Television. She is a three-time winner of a National Newspaper Award, and the recipient of the prestigious Charles Lynch Award for outstanding coverage of national issues. Jennifer is a frequent contributor to television and radio public affairs programs, including CBC’s Power and Politics and the At Issue panel on The National. She holds a bachelor of arts from Concordia University, and a master of journalism from Carleton University, and has been inducted into the Hall of Distinction at CEGEP John Abbott College. She is the co-editor with Graham Fox of the 2016 book The Harper Factor: Assessing a Prime Minister’s Policy Legacy (McGill-Queen’s University Press).
