We set up bike trainers in a room with a large flat screen TV & surround sound and try to keep our riding legs through the winter.
This is a weekly social get together where we bring a pot luck light dinner choice or appetizer & beverage and pedal our way through a movie.
This is Sooo much better than a trainer in a gym. It's the next best thing to a bike ride.
Bring: Your Bike & a trainer. If you don't have a trainer Steve has one spare trainer that may be borrowed. Email Steve directly to see if it is available. Also bring a yoga mat or floor covering for under your bike. This catches dirt from the bike (It is winter remember) and any little sweat drips in case it's an action movie and you really get going.
Start Time: 7:00 pm
The location is near Lewis & Clark College just off Terwilliger. Directions will be emailed to those attending.
Tip - This is also a great opportunity to practice with new and unfamiliar pedals or shifting system. You can't fall, no traffic, the group doesn't drop you while you're figuring out the new equipment. Fit tweaks can be tested as well. New test seat? Longer stem? Change handlebar angle? I always bring a multi tool for fit tweaks that you might want to try out while riding in the trainer w/o traffic & road obstacles.
