• What we'll do
Camping, Tubing, Funyaking or Rafting with a optional Hot Springs outdoor hot tube rental. More on this later! The Appalachian Trail goes right thru Hot Springs so a Sunday all interested will hike to Lover's Leap and further up the mountain after we break camp.
• What to bring
Your own tent and chairs. We'll talk about cooking groups later. Friday nights plan is to walk the short distance to town for dinner at Iron Horse Station and lunch at Spring Creek Tavern on Saturday before getting on the river.
• Important to know
I have reserved riverfront campsites 451, 453 and 455, they are full with last years campers. There are several other campsites available now, paying a deposit asap is suggested. You are welcome to reserve your own campsite and join the group for everything else except cooking in camp. River front campsites are $90 for the weekend and campsites right behind us are $60 for the weekend; they allow 2 tents per site with 4 people and 2 cars; additional people can be added at $16 for 2 days.
They have nice and clean single person bathrooms and shower rooms.
Kelly, Scott & Molly and I will be leaving Friday morning, and maybe even noon Thursday. I'll be happy to coordinate a carpool for others.
This is a private campground and reasonable alcoholic consumption is allowed.
