We will walk approximately 4-7 miles each morning along lightly travelled dirt roads in Vermont. The trip is 6 nights from July 26 (Sunday arrival) until Saturday (August 1, depart). On some days we will explore Vermont's historic sites and towns. Expect mountain scenery, picturesque villages, and rural landscapes. The afternoons are free to visit sights in the area, attend a second walk or relax. We stay at the Colonial House Inn in Weston, Vermont. Rooms are modest but the common area is quaint. Meals are excellent. Outside the inn has scenic views of the surrounding mountains. I have been coming to the area for about 15 years and have walked or cycled many of the surrounding roads. I will not be handling money (I have not blocked off rooms at the inn but they're aware of our trip.). You will have to make your own reservation at the inn. Prices are reasonable for the area. Built into the cost will be two dinners (Breakfasts are included). There will be admission costs at some of the sites. We will use car pooling on the walks. Only members who are serious about attending the trip should make reservations. It's unfair to the innkeeper when many people reserve rooms and then back out. You may choose to stay less than the six nights (I tried to arrange the trip so you won't have to deal with heavy traffic on the commute). If you choose to attend, please email me your contact info. at [masked] (In addition to any messaging. Please put "Vermont Trip" into the subject box). Hope to see you in Vermont.
