Join OmBody Health every Wednesday for Earthing Yoga on the Eastern Prom! This all levels class focuses on building connection with the earth, our bodies and each other through sensory awareness, movement, mindfulness, and gratitude. “Earthing” is a fast-growing movement based on the principle that connection with the Earth is vital to our health. “Earthing” is a fast-growing movement based on the principle that connection with the Earth is vital to our health. To facilitate this connection, we’ll do yoga on the bare Earth with no mats* or props.

What to Expect:
The class will be taught by our certified yoga teachers (see bios below) and instructed in a unique, yet accessible manner which blends Hatha and Yin styles. Expect a practice with an optimal blend of mobility-enhancing and mindful movement, along with the chance to hold nourishing postures in stillness to balance out the hectic energy of your busy life. Leave feeling relaxed, restored, and more connected with the Earth and your community. No previous experience with yoga is necessary. All ages welcome, although children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This class is donation-based and open to the general public. There is no minimum donation. 50% of the proceeds will benefit OmKids, which brings mindfulness programs to public schools (scroll down for more information on OmKids). The remaining proceeds will go to the instructor.

About the Instructors:
Julia Workman
Julia is formally trained in the Vinyasa-derived Rasamaya style (rasamaya means fluid), as well as other movement disciplines such as Pilates and Barre. She loves to blend styles and specializes in teaching slow- to- medium- paced classes that somehow leave you feeling both invigorated and deeply relaxed.

Lee Sowles
Lee has formal training in Hatha and Yin styles of yoga. She specializes in guiding deeply nourishing, mindful practices that will refresh and revitalize every corner of a weary mind or body.

*Feel free to bring a mat, beach towel or blanket if you’d prefer.
