What we're about

This group is for anyone who wants to get outside with other like minded people for work out hikes, obstacle course, mud runs, obstacle course races, rock climbing or any other fitness related outdoor adventures. All are welcome to join at any level of fitness as long as you have an interest in the activities (everyone will be on their own level). This is not a "boot camp" styled group and no one will force you to do what you don't think you can handle, we only ask that you push yourself to your own comfort level, no one will be yelling to "motivate" you but friendly encouragement is acceptable. All the posted events will have descriptions of what will be required so take the time to read them and sign up for what interest you. Most events will be beginner friendly or have a way to evolve for individual comfort levels.

This group will not be run by any sort of "fitness professional", it will consist of people who enjoy it and want to get "fit" with others. If you want to get back in shape, stay in shape, or train for an event this group is for you. If you just want to come at and test yourself and see if this group is for you, come on out.

This should go without saying but I will say it anyway: There will be no shaming of any kind for any reason, this will be kept as a casual/social atmosphere. Drama will not be tolerated (this includes politics). One last thing...this is a low stress fitness group, not a dating group so please refrain from treating it like one.

Workout Hike/Ruck

Pawlings Road Trail Head

Grab your pack, load up some weight and come join us for an epic workout. This workout will be for all levels of fitness from beginner to expert, you will do all the workouts at your own comfort level. All workouts will be basic and scattered along the hike at random intervals. We will try and keep a 20 minute/mile pace as we hike along the scenic Schuylkill River or Perkiomen Creek. You are encouraged to join in on the workouts but they are optional, having additional weight in your pack is optional as well but makes for a better workout (see below for recommendations). We will meet up at the parking lot to start our ruck, there is several different ways we can go so each event will be a little different. Depending on group size we will try for around 5 miles. Please be sure to wear appropriate clothing for the weather and conditions including footwear. Also, bring water and any snacks you may need to keep going. If this is your first ruck try adding 10 pounds to your pack, if that is too easy you can always add more the next time around. Good options for weights are: weight plates, dumbbells, bricks, water (you can always dump/drink it to make it lighter). Indoor Rock Climbing (beginners welcome)

Philadelphia Rock Gym - Oaks

Come hang out with us at Philadelphia Rock Gym in Oaks for a couple hours or climbing. All skill levels welcome and classes are offered for new people. See below for pricing details. I am looking for fellow top rope or lead climbers that would be interested in joining me for a couple hours at the gym. It has been several months since I have climbed and looking to get back at it. If you are interested sign on up and meet me there. If you are new to climbing please let me know when you sign up. I currently have two guest passes (first two people to claim them can use them). Savage Race (5-7 miles/27+ obstacles)

When you register for this event on their website let me know so I can set up a team (or if you are already registered). This will be a 5-7 mile course with 27 plus obstacles, I'm sure there will be plenty of mud as well. I am not a fast runner and I only plan on going to have fun and give the obstacles a go, it's more about completion for me and teamwork. If you are interested sign on up!!! Savage Blitz (3 miles/15-20 obstacles)
