  • A day at the gallery. Photo walk from Sloane Square to Saatchi Gallery

Sloane Square - in the square by the seats/fountain

Photographers of all levels very welcome SAATCHI GALLERY ------------------------- The sharp lines, large doorways and huge rooms as well as the contemporary and edgy works of art at Saatchi lend themselves well to black & white photography. The gallery is usually quieter during the week, so it's easier to isolate your subjects and take clutter-free shots. That's why I chose Friday rather than the weekend. We will work on our exposure, framing, isolating subjects, creating silhouettes and producing eye-catching black & whites. MEET UP ------------ The meet up is on Friday 26th Oct at 3:30pm at the fountain, opposite the Sloane Square tube station. We'll set up our cameras and start shooting as we make our way to the gallery. I don't know about you but I can't resist the temptation to shoot people and street :-) GEAR --------- A DSLR, mirrorless or even a mobile device. As for lenses, your 18-55mm kit lens would be fine. Fast lenses (f1/1.4, f/1.8, f/2.8) will serve you specially well. I would advise, your "minimum focal" length should not be greater than 70mm as you may not be able to get enough in your frames. Looking forward to seeing you guys

To add a little twist and make things more interesting we will experiment with deliberate motion blur by reducing the shutter speed and capturing people and traffic in motion. What you need: A Camera or DSLR preferably with manual & Semi Manual Settings CPL/ND Filters (Optional) Tripod (Optional) Please check TFL for the latest travel information and in case of any disruptions. @mednejad (instagram) https://www.mednejadportfolio.com/street/ https://www.mednejadportfolio.com/feel-london/[masked]
