'Skys and Clouds' Painting Technique class.

Capturing the ever changing light and colors of the sky is something that many artists make a life long pursuit. I have been studying and painting skys for over twenty five years and during this class I'll be sharing many of my tips and secrets with you. I hope you'll join me for this information packed class.

Saturday sessions are 'TECHNIQUE CLASSES' with 3.5 hours of painting. Although not a prerequisite for participation in a One Day Workshop, these classes are helpful for those participants wanting to learn more about painting specific elements of the landscape as we focus on skills such as brush techniques and color mixing. Technique classes are much more about learning good painting skills, than finishing the class with a completed masterpiece. During this class you will be creating two small study paintings of two different types of skys- and learning skills to aid you in painting many types of skys.

All Saturday classes are held in Central Park. Classes work to a format that allows the most seasoned of painters to work alongside those who are completely new to painting, while each benefits from and enjoys the experience. Suited to ages 10 and up.

* In the case of topics where suitable 'real life' reference is not available, such as the ocean and beach classes, excellent photographic materials are supplied to each student during the class.

Date: Saturday, June 29, 2013

Start time: 10:30 am

Finish time: 3 pm (includes 45 min lunch break)

Cost: $60 for students bringing own materials
$85 for those wishing to have all equipment supplied (includes a canvas, the use of an easel, brushes, paints, medium and all other materials required to produce a painting)
*Note: There has been a slight price increase in these classes as the time and content of them has been extended.

ADVANCE PAYMENT REQUIRED. If you would like to join us, please reply via the RSVP link and feel free to email and ask any questions that you might have. * PLEASE also be sure to email Danielle directly after you have RSVP'd on Meetup so that payment details can be emailed to you, as well as specific directions to our painting location.

We had a wonderful day in this class with fun group of people! Painting skys and clouds is one of the most beautiful things to do in landscape painting. Everyone learnt how to paint a classic blue sky with clouds and also a sunset sky. The beautiful paintings speak for themselves!
