Come enjoy the outdoors, make new friends, and PARTY with my twin brother and I. We'll have a group site to ourselves since there's only one other group site down the road. So there won't be any neighbors telling us to stay off their lawn, or noise complaints woohoo. Games, beer, wine, liquor and music will be provided. That's right, I said free alcohol.. You're welcome to bring your drink of choice. Absolutely NO minors or pets, thank you.
The site is paid for, so all you need to bring is your own grub, camping gear, a bundle of firewood, and a fun attitude. Sorry, no party poopers :-/ I'll be making flapjacks (pancakes for you city folk) for breakfast, but suggest bringing anything you may fancy such as a peanut butter and bacon sandwich with a mimosa. We won't judge..everyone has their taste. Sorry, but you're on your own for lunch and dinner.
We'll meet there on Friday the 5th anytime after 2pm for some socializing, enjoying the company of new friends, and an early start on happy hour.
Saturday will be an optional hike for those who wish to join, of you're not too hung over that is. The trail head is a quarter mile from camp, about 6 miles round trip with a 1,000 foot gain, so an easy-moderate hike. The rest of the day and evening will be more socializing, of course. Checkout is 11:00 am Sunday.
Meadow Group Campground is a little over an hour north of LA. Our playground has:
*3 Campfire rings
*3 Picnic Tables
*Drinking Water (Spigot)
*Paved Parking Lot
*Rock climbing close
A combination for the lock at the gate will be provided to those attending within a week of the meetup.
This meetup is cross-posted with other groups, so carpooling may be needed (post in comments). You just might meet someone worth riding..with.
