If Ben Venue (2392ft) is known as the miniature mountain, its easterly neighbour, Ben A'an, at a mere 1491ft, could perhaps be described as microscopic! However in spite of its modest height, it sits in a commanding position overlooking Loch Katrine and Loch Achray and if conditions are clear the views across the Loch Lomond and Trossachs national park are stunning! With a good path most of the way to the summit, the walk up and down should take us little more than 3 hours - just enough for a great little Christmas Eve winter warmer!
The event is free to attend for full and trial members of ODL, but as numbers are limited we ask that you book your place at: http://outdoorlads.com/event/microscopic-mountain-stirling
