Join us for an early spring hike along the Virginia side of the Potomac River where we’ll keep an eye on the Spring Ephemerals that may be blooming. We’ll begin our hike near the American Legion Bridge where we’ll pick up the Potomac Heritage National Scenic Trail to Turkey Run Park. Along our way we’ll look out for Cutleaf Toothwort, Spring Beauties, Dutchman’s Breeches, Bloodroot, and if we’re lucky, maybe even some Virginia Bluebells. There are two stream crossings and a steep incline up to Turkey Run Park where we’ll search higher ground and stop for a snack before we retrace our steps back to the trailhead.
