Paul du Long | Managing Director | Otonomos
Paul lived in Singapore for almost two years and recently made a big change in environment by relocating to Hong Kong this year.
His mission is to set-up the Hong Kong branch of their start-up Otonomos - originally founded in Singapore 2015. Otonomos offers an online dashboard to manage your entities entirely online, eradicating all analogue paperwork. Its goal is to form, fund and govern entities completely online. Before Otonomos, Paul started several start-ups in the Netherlands mostly combining his passion for business, blockchain and technology. His objective is to make blockchain technology commercially applicable and use this brave new technology to solve real business issues.
In Hong Kong, we will be exploring how these convergent technologies and trends are reshaping the financial, legal and regulatory services. Internet of Things sensors are providing insurers with unimaginable data to manage their risks. Artificial intelligence is offering financial service firms the ability to detect fraud and offer predictive financial advice to customers. Blockchains and smart contracts offer the tantalising possibility for legal services firms to automate low-value parts of their business, and regulators a real-time immutable audit trail for financial transactions. And this is just the beginning.
