This walk is a chance to walk through some of the London Parks and to experience two of the most important Christmas Markets.
Meet under Marble Arch for a walk through Hyde Park passing the Diana Memorial, through St. James Park and Horseguards parade and across Hungerford Bridge and we'll stop for lunch at the Cologne Christmas Market which is just under Hungerford Bridge and next to the Royal Festival Hall. [There's an extensive choice of German Food, Beer and Glühwein here and clean toilets are available in the Royal Festival Hall].
After lunch we'll walk along the river and back up to Hyde Park to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Winter Wonderland Christmas Market. Winter Wonderland is very busy on a Sunday so we will disperse at the entrance and walk around in smaller groups.
We will be joined by one of the local Ramblers groups and a couple of other meetup groups.
Marble Arch can be reached on the 36 bus from Paddington Station or about a 25 minute walk from the station. There's also a direct bus from Oxford which stops on Park Lane
The walk will be on pavements so trainers are more appropriate that winter walking boots.
