Another relaxed Social Meeting with Food and Great Discussion!

We could discuss two articles which we recommend to you for reading; the articles themselves are found at our new web site at www.oxfordhumanists.org ---look under upcoming meetings and you will find the two articles posted. They are also listed below with live links to their web locations.

They are:

Facing The Myth of Human Progress: Why the Human Experiment is Failing so Quickly/Truthdig / By Chris Hedges

Is industrial civilisation headed for 'irreversible collapse'?

Or we could discuss anything else you would like!

Oxford Humanist Educational Association members are hosting potluck lunches every third Sunday of the month, March through December 2014 at 12:30 PM.

See full year schedule below and place on your calendar!!

Expect fascinating, out of the box discussions as well as  Humanist gossip, current news, book and article reviews, pool parties, wandering about Dan and Evelyn’s Lake property or their Granville County conservation property. Other venues at someone else's house or a restaurant are all possibilities. Potluck dates and time of day are unlikely to change, but meeting places will vary.

Bring your friends and relax with us; a group of people who think outside the box. Bring a Pot Luck item if you would like but this is not necessary.

If you plan to bring children let us know so that age appropriate supervision and activities can be provided for them.

Thanks Karen for sharing your home. Food was good, Evelyn's letter was smashing.

Have to juggle a lot of things in a couple of hours on this one since it is Easter: family, a friend in town from out of state, etc etc, but I will be by. I get lost easily so have your phone on. :)

    Dear All:
Who plans a lunch on Easter Sunday? Are y'all a bunch of Heathens?! :)
We have been looking forward to the long (3 day) Easter weekend with our non-heathen, out-of-town guests for weeks now.
If the date was moved to 04/27/14, we could host it, and attend.
But no pressure! We'll try to make the next one.

I don't think the Bunny will mind. He seems to be a happy little guy.
