  • Nicky's Christmas and Birthday Bash! Starring Texas Ghost Train, a Classic Blues, 60’s/70’s Rhythm and Blues and Rock n Roll Band, Friday, 16th December 2016, 7.30pm for 8.00pm, The Oxfordshire Yeoman Pub, 172 Wroslyn Road, Freeland, Witney, Oxon OX29 8AQ Tickets £20 (includes dinner). Come along and enjoy a delicious three course dinner which is bookable in advance only. For each meal booked the pub will kindly donate £5 per head to Marie Curie Cancer Care. On the night Texas Ghost Train, a five piece band will entertain us with Classic Blues, 60's/70's Rhythm and Blues and Rock n Roll. They'll certainly put their own stamp on some good old songs. We'll also have a few festive games to entertain you and donations of raffle prizes will be very much appreciated.     To Start… Trio of Salmon Terrine
    Smoked Salmon base topped with kiln hot salmon parfait, with a centre of mustard dill vinaigrette and finished with smoked salmon and dill mouse, served with a salad garnish and brown bread.

    Fig and Goats Cheese Parcels (V)
    Sweet figs with goats cheese cased in crispy pastry, served with salad garnish and caramelised onion chutney.

    Homemade Spiced Vegetable Soup (V)
    Served with fresh bread and butter.

    Salmon and Asparagus Wellington
    Prime cut salmon in a rich butter and prawn sauce wrapped in a puff pastry purse finished with asparagus and chopped chives, served with a horseradish cream.

    Duck & Port Pudding
    Tender duck and wild mushrooms encased in a crispy bread crust with rich port sauce.

    Vegetable Nut Roast with Apricot and Goats Cheese (V)
    Traditional French winter mushroom stew made with red wine, onions and parsnips.
