The Intermediate series is based on Mipham Rinpoche's "Wheel of Analytical Meditation" supplemented with instructions from "Words of My Perfect Teacher" by Paltrul Rinpoche and "How to Meditate" by Kathleen McDonald. Each topic of the Wheel will be the focus for two weeks. The series will conclude with two classes discussing and practicing Deity Yoga and a class on Ngondro & next steps on the path.

The intermediate class begins with a brief recitation of traditional Tibetan auspicious prayers to set the tone for the meditations. Then, a brief synopsis of the methods of Shamatha and Vipshyana, including the instructions for the particular topic of the day. There are two, 15-minute meditation sessions. After that is time for questions and discussion. The class closes with traditional Tibetan dedication prayers.

Please note that the class is 90 minutes long.

All are welcome; those new to meditation are encouraged to join the 10 a.m. class.
