Hi Brothers and Sisters,

Each week we send out announcements about meditation and our Vajrayana practice schedule to keep the sangha informed. This week PCD-DC is delighted to ask you to save the date from September 3rd until September 8th because our beloved spriritual director Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso is being scheduled to come to Alexandria. Khenchen will arrive at DCA at 5:35 on September 2nd (labor day), more information to come. Our center at 316 Commerce street in Alexandria will hold about 30 people, and we'd like to ask your help finding a bigger space for teachings. Please let us know if you have information about a bigger space that is available especially for the weekend of September 7th and 8th. We haven't got a teaching schedule yet, but please read our e-mail updates to stay up to date with the latest information. For teaching requests please respond to this e-mail. All requests will be subject to approval by Khenchen and the cut off date for requests will be next monday July 29th. PCD-DC will post the teaching schedule approved by Khenchen as soon as possible.

THE RETREAT: Here's a reminder that the Palyul Summer Retreat is going on now. We've received reports that the weather has been beautiful. All three "Heart Sons" of H.H.Pema Norbu Rinpoche will be in attendance, along with a gathering of Tulkus, Khenpos, Lopons, Monks and Nuns—a rare opportunity, indeed. One should avoid all negative actions,
One should always engage in virtuous deeds,
Tame one's mind completely and do not disturb other's mind with delusion.
This is the Buddha's teaching.
