I went last year and this was GREAT! Great food, great entertainment, lots of Hawaiian items for sale and other vendors. I'll be going Saturday, but I think this would be a great free event for this group.
Saturday, July 27th,[masked] a.m. to 7 p.m.
Esther Short Park,W Columbia St. and 8th St., Vancouver, WA 98660
Over 10,000 visitors have swayed to the rhythm as hula dancers and Polynesian singers filled the park with the heartbeat of their cultures. Raffles, keiki (kids) activities, arts and crafts, business and delicious food vendors round out this two day long outdoor festival which is now considered the third largest annual event at Esther Short Park.
New this year is the 'Ke Kukui Cultural Corner"' offering traditional Hawaiian games such as `ulu maika, moa pahe`e and konane, and fresh leimaking with makers in costume. Bring a low backed chair or blanket and enjoy the tropical festivities.
