Camaraderie, stretching, and trail running

This meetup group meets at Lower Macleay every Saturday at 9:00am! We spend a good 5-10 minutes stretching prior, and take various routes through Forest Park. ALL RUNNING SKILLS WELCOME. Afterwards we meet for coffee and snacks and conversation, and SOMETIMES that leads to more fun stuff around out neighborhood. See you there, trail runners!

I'm running late. Which trail are you taking?

Should be back next weekend. I've had Mt Defiance scheduled since some time back. Weather should be nice enough :)

Defiance is a blast;-) Let's talk at some point about the wildwood end to end. Have fun this weekend!

I have a Husky. Can he come along for the run?

Hi Susan, yes, he's definitely welcome, so feel free to bring him! (The park does require though that all dogs are on leash.)

how far do you think you are going? I used to be able to throw down 12 or 16 like it aint no thing but I haven't been running so much lately. and I am generally not a trail runner, but thought id might check it out, but I know trails are a bit more difficult than road. basically I don't want my ass handed to me

Runs are typically 5 to 6 miles depending on which route we pick that day. I have found trail running to be way more fun/dynamic than road running. And being with a group provides some good motivation to get through the long stretches of vertical climb.
