PDX Jewish Lesbian/Queer Network is an informal social organization for Jewish lesbians/queers in the Portland metro area, SW Washington and surrounding areas. Our various meetup activities provide the opportunity for Jewish lesbians to come together and enjoy the many things that we have in common as Jewish women who love women. We can make new friends, reconnect with old friends, have fun together and be ourselves!
We will be having meetups for whatever activities our members have an interest in: house parties for socializing and dancing; a book discussion group; Shabbat Friday night dinners; parties for Hanukah and Purim; other Yom Tov dinners; attending various Jewish cultural events together (music, theater, lectures, art exhibits, etc.); hikes, bike rides and other outdoor recreation; picnics, brunches, happy hours and other times for socializing; and whatever else our Jewish lesbian members propose and are willing to host from time to time.
Although most activities will be open to women of all ages, if you will to host an activity for a certain age group, please contact Holly, because that would also be welcome.
Jewish lesbian members are welcome to have their non-Jewish women friends accompany them to any of our activities. If you self-identify as a woman, as Jewish and as a lesbian or queer, then you are welcome to become a member of this Jewish lesbian group. Bisexual, transexual and pansexual Jewish women are also welcome to join. Our intention is to be inclusive, not exclusive.
[Feel free to use the "Discussions" section to post brief, 140 character announcements inviting other members of this meetup group to join you for activities or events. You can also message Holly about getting activities or events that you are interested in posted as meetups. Remember that you can message individual members by clicking on "Members" on this homepage.]
