Miskatonic U. Presents: Eldritch Horror!!!

The hallowed halls of Miskatonic University hold many dark secrets and on the second Saturday of every month, things get just a little darker.  The Great Old Ones peer through the veil from Another Dimension, seeking 5 hapless victims to lure into Other Worlds with strange-sounding names such as Lost Carcosa and R'lyeh.  Hounds of Tindalos, Cultists and Shoggoths are commonplace, and only the keenest of minds will escape with a shred of their sanity still intact. Do you have what it takes to fight these horrors and keep the Ancient Ones at bay?  Will you survive all of the gruesome wonders that Arkham holds, or will you find yourself forever Lost in Time and Space.  Have your wits about you, read those magical tomes and ready your best weapon; the time has come again to do battle and prevent this evil from taking hold of your body, mind and soul.  Cthulhu himself whispers your name...  Will you heed his call?

Across the globe, ancient evil is stirring. Now, you and your trusted circle of colleagues must travel around the world, working against all odds to hold back the approaching horror. Foul monsters, brutal encounters, and obscure mysteries will take you to your limit and beyond. All the while, you and your fellow investigators must unravel the otherworldly mysteries scattered around the globe in order to push back the gathering mayhem that threatens to overwhelm humanity. The end draws near! Do you have the courage to prevent global destruction?

Eldritch Horror is a cooperative game of terror and adventure in which one to eight players take the roles of globetrotting investigators working to solve mysteries, gather clues, and protect the world from an Ancient One - an elder being intent on destroying our world. Each Ancient One comes with its own unique decks of Mystery and Research cards, which draw you deeper into the lore surrounding each loathsome creature.

Discover the true name of Azathoth or battle Cthulhu on the high seas. With twelve unique investigators, two hundred-fifty tokens, and over three hundred cards, Eldritch Horror presents an epic, world-spanning adventure with each and every game.

I would suggest bringing your game just in case. Work may ask me to work on Saturday, so, yeah....

Actually, if that happens I'll drop off my game with Randal. This will happen, one way or another.

Yay! Looking forward to seeing you again and to meeting Heather, although I feel as though I already know her. See you Saturday!

I'm going to try and add a second board for two simultaneous games; keep watching this space for an update!

Even though it takes 8 people, these games are generally not ideal for fun play with that many. The down time can be quite excruciating - especially when players are newish to the game. I appreciate that the games are not maxed out; 5-6 is nice.

Yes, I doubt I'll ever host w/8 people per game. I agree, the down time is too long. 6 is a good number, but we'll have to remember to stay focused on the game and not get caught up in too much extraneous chat.
